Event Type

OLC is delighted to welcome PIXELSTORM an exciting South of London based electropop act. Expect Self-penned songs delivered in the retrosound of early 80s electronica, synthpop hooks & big pop melodies. The lyric stories are timeless, as if lifted from Depeche Mode or Eurythmics, but often with a modern-day dystopian twist. Featuring live keytar flourishes and vocals laced with Bowie and Midge Ure.

In support our friends APopLexy will play a mid evening showcase with their unique sound built around the songwriting talents of ‘Lexy’ Marianne-Rose Tovey (Vocals & keyboards) & David Fowler’s musicianship (Guitars & Sax). Their repertoire draws on wide ranging influences, including folk, synth-pop, goth & the avant-garde.

We’ll be open to floorspots during the 30 min, prior to Pixelstorm’s 1st set which is due start shortly after 8. If you’d like to get up & treat us to a song or a tune or two, please arrive early on the night. They’ll be a couple of vocal mics & instrument leads available for plug & play.

A hat collection in CASH goes in its entirety to the guests. The suggested minimum contribution is £7, but please give a little more if you can afford it.

The club premises & CAMRA award-winning bar will be open on the day from 7pm. – card payments only.

Free entry to OLC/CAMRA members & £1 to non-members payable at the bar.
