OLC welcomes Hunter Muskett, a legendary acoustic/electric 3-piece playing distinctive original songs in a folky, bluesy, sometimes Americana vein for a very special evening.
Chris George, Terry Hiscock & Doug Morter formed the group in 1968 whilst still at college & during the early 1970s, they played clubs, colleges, & festivals at home and abroad, recording two, now collectable, albums ‘Every Time You Move’ (1970) & ‘Hunter Muskett’ (1973) before calling a day in 74.
They reformed in 2010 following the re-release of their classic 1st album, resumed touring & have since recorded two new albums to critical acclaim ‘That Was Then, This Is Now’ (2013) & ‘Unafraid & Sober’ (2017), with founder members Hiscock & Morter being currently joined by Rog Trevitt.
From 7.30 pm until 8.15 pm, we’re open to lively floorspots before HM comes on to play their first of two sets. Singers, musicians, and poets are welcome. Come early if you’d like to do a turn. Time is limited, and we’ll try to fit in as many as possible. Please be ready when you’re called and keep it short and sweet—this part of the evening won’t be allowed to overrun!!
A hat collection in CASH goes in its entirety to the guests. The suggested minimum contribution is £8, but please give a little bit more if you can afford it.
The club premises & CAMRA award-winning bar will be open on the day from 5.30 pm. It’s CARD payments only free entry to OLC members & £1 to non-members.
