Welcome return of the ever popular BORDER CROSSING a duo combining the talents of Dean Tanio & John Matthews.
John Matthews is an ex-pat Scot & long-time Kent resident. A fine unaccompanied singer in the folk tradition.
Dean Tanio adds his voice & accomplished guitar playing.
The sum total is a succession of delightful arrangements of traditional & contemporary folk songs with plenty of opportunities to join in with the choruses.
In support will be a 20 min mid-evening showcase from Eynsford based singer Karen Langridge. Kaz has a beautiful voice & performs an eclectic mix of traditional & contemporary folksongs playing both flute & autoharp.
From 7.30 pm until 8.15 pm, we’re open to floorspots before Border Crossing come on for the first of their two sets. Singers, musicians, & poets are welcome. Time is limited, but we’ll try to squeeze in as many as possible. Please be ready when called & keep it short & sweet.
A hat collection in CASH goes in its entirety to the guests. The suggested minimum contribution is £7, but please give a little more if you can afford it.
The club premises & CAMRA award-winning bar will be open on the day from 5.30 pm. – card payments only.
Free entry to OLC/CAMRA members & £1 to non-members payable at the bar.
