As part of the Orpington Liberal Club’s VE Day 80th anniversary celebrations, we’re delighted that Springish, with their big repertoire of songs and tunes, will play a special late afternoon set featuring 40’s music.
Springish is a dynamic duo from Kent. Sensational young folk fiddle player Matt English teams up with multi-instrumentalist Tim Springett, who is no slouch on guitar, mandolin, and vocals.
We welcome floorspots from singers, musicians, poets & spoken word performers. If you can come up with something in keeping with the theme of the day, that would be a big bonus.
If it’s glorious weather, the music will be in the garden; otherwise, it will be in the hall.
CASH hat collection for the musicians with a suggested minimum of £5, but please give more if you can afford it.
It’s free entry to the club premises for OLC & CAMRA Members, and for others, £1 is payable at the bar.
On the day, the club will be open from 12.30 pm & Peter Muldoon will be arranging to serve up food with a wartime menu from 2pm until it runs out (£10/head),
