OLC favourite Pete Morton is a highly entertaining & original singer-songwriter with a powerful voice & compelling stage presence.
His songs express everything from the highly personal to the truly international. Expect an engrossing & unruly mix of humanism, politics, love, social commentary & humour, all wrapped around the folk tradition.
In support, there’ll be a short mid-evening selection of songs from Tone Deaf Leopard with their zany takes on modern life about such subjects as Urban Four by Four Drivers & Cafe’s Serving up Road Kill dinners.
From 7.30 pm until 8.20 pm, we’re open to lively floorspots before Pete comes on to play his first set. We welcome singers, musicians, poets & spoken word artists. Please come early if you’d like to do a turn.
It’s free entry to OLC members & £1 to non-members. There will be a hat collection in CASH for the guest. The suggested minimum contribution is £6, but please give a little bit more if you can afford it.
The club premises & CAMRA award-winning bar will be open on the day from 5.30 pm. It’s CARD payments only.
