This year’s Late Summer Afternoon Garden Party at Orpington Liberal Club culminates with a one-hour set from THE NATHAN PERSAD TRIO. Nathan who is famous for his vast repertoire of hits from the 50’s 60’s and beyond and a few of his own teams up with the equally talented Tom Monk (Vocals, Keyboard and Guitar) and Reece Bentley ( Bass and Vocal harmonies) to form a veritable supergroup.

We start at 1.45 sharp with 45 minutes of floorspots, and then during the afternoon, there will be a succession of pre-booked slots from outstanding performers on the SE London and Kent folk and acoustic music scene, including Swans Duo, The Badger Band, Colin Brunton, Steve Shorey, Curtis Savage and Pauline Gaunt.

Keeping our fingers crossed for good weather. But if it’s poor, the event will still go ahead but move into the club’s hall.

It’s free for Club/CAMRA members, with a £1 charge to non-members who attend as guests.

The OLC premises and CAMRA award-winning bar will be open from 12.30pm. It’s CARD payment only.

There’s a CASH hat collection to pay the guests and help cover costs. The minimum suggested contribution is £6 per head, but please give more if you can afford it.

After 6 there is the option of Pizza slices and salad supper and a few more floorspots.
