The US-based storyteller Mark Binder will visit OLC as part of a world tour.
Mark spins spellbinding stories, some for adults, some for families and children. He has performed in parking lots and basements, theatres, festivals, pubs, churches, synagogues, nightclubs, and schools.
He has written more than two dozen books including original and traditional folktales, outrageous “autobiographical lies” & a series of books about Village Life under the pen name Izzy Abrahmson.
Gerladine Ann Ford will MC the afternoon with support from Co-host Tony Cranston of Talking Stories Radio fame.
Floorspots from spoken word acts (poets, storytellers, musicians and singers, are welcome during the course of the afternoon.
If the weather is good, the event will take place in the Club Garden moving into the Hall if weather is poor.
Entry is free for Club/CAMRA members, with a £1 charge to non-members who attend as guests.
There’ll be a cash hat collection for Mark, who will also be selling and signing his books and other merchandise.
The OLC premises and CAMRA award-winning bar will be open from 12.30pm. It’s a CARD payment only.
