The eagerly awaited return of the ever-popular and wonderfully entertaining UK Blues Award nominee Dave Ferra to OLC to play a solo acoustic gig.
The Dover-based bluesman’s individual take on blues ranges from sweet ballads to toe-tapping tunes to make you smile. His repertoire encompasses 1920s spirituals and ragtime blues as well as urban blues of the ’30s and ’40s.
There’s also an exciting mid-evening support spot for guitarists Simon Goodwin and Brian Miller playing a mix of blues and gipsy jazz.
We start at 19.30 with floorspots for the first 45 minutes before bringing Dave on for the first of his two sets.
We’re open to musicians, singers, poets & spoken word. Please come early on the night & flag up your intentions if you’d like to do a turn.
It’s free entry to OLC Members with a £1 charge to non-members.
They’ll be a hat collection for the guests in CASH with a suggested minimum contribution of £6. Please give a bit more if you can afford it.
The CAMRA award-winning bar specialises in well-kept cask ales from selected local brewers & Kentish ciders will be open from 7pm. It’s CARD payment only.
