Following on from the success of Andy’s initial Sat afternoon songwriting workshop in the OLC Hall in November, by popular demand, we’ve invited him back for a follow up session.
If you didn’t manage to get to the previous worshops don’t worrry. These sessions have been designed with newcomers & beginners in mind as well seasoned songsmiths. So they’ll be something for everyone.
Andy will show you what he’s learned from writing 200 songs, recording 8 albums, having Mike Scott of The Waterboys just turn up at a gig after hearing his song ‘Whiskey Priest’ and much much more…. We will analyse song structure and harmony and collaborate attempting to write hit songs.
Bring yourself, pen’n’paper & perhaps a music stand.. If you play one, a musical instrument or maybe just your singing voice.
If you’ve got a couple of songs you’re working on & would like to share with the group, that would be great but it’s not compulsory.
Free entry to OLC and CAMRA members, with a £1 charge to others payable at the bar.
In addition there will be a voluntary CASH hat collection for Andy with a suggested minimum contribution of £5
The OLC premises and CAMRA award-winning bar will be open from 12.30pm. The bar is card payment only.
