Three friends who are well-known on the North Kent Music Scene – Dave Badger, Russ Kearton & Michaela Pugh – will be on stage together in what promises to be another fascinating and fun evening. They’ll take turns to perform their original songs, discuss their inspirations, and engage in friendly banter.
DAVID JOHN STEAD is leader of The Badger Band showcasing his fine self-penned songs, which feature on Radio Two & have a good time, joining-inny anthemic quality to them. He’s always inclusive so expect a little bit of help from his friends.
RUSS KEARTON, who is a phenomenal musician, fronts the Russ Kearton Trio – playing honest, soulful, in-the-pocket blues, soul, swing & funk originals – will be playing in a stripped-down acoustic mode.
MICHEALA PUGH is a folk/pop singer-songwriter & multi-instrumentalist, she is also a fine singer and interpreter of songs who is studying Music Therapy at the University of Roehampton.
Music from 7.30 pm until 8.15 pm, and we’re open to floorspots before the guests come on to play the first of their two sets. Singers, musicians, and poets are all welcome. Self-penned material will be welcome but optional.
A cash hat collection goes to the guests in its entirety. The suggested minimum contribution is £6, but please give a little more if you can afford it.
The club premises and CAMRA award-winning bar will be open on the day from 6.15 pm.
It’s CARD payments only: free entry to OLC members, £1 to non-members.
