Event Type

RUMPLED MUSLIN is a highly accomplished and entertaining all-female trio featuring Alison Frosdick, Wendy Lanchin, and Amanda MacLean.

They are residents at Cecil Sharpe House in London and sing mainly in a capella style with tight vocal harmonies and thoughtfully worked-out arrangements. Sometimes, Alison adds musical accompaniment on an Indian harmonium, tin whistle, or guitar. Their repertoire consists mainly of traditional folk songs from the British Isles, with a few surprises thrown in for good measure.

In support, Ian Ripsher, a fine SE London-based fingerstyle guitarist and contemporary folk singer, will play a 20-minute mid-evening spot.

From 7.30 pm until 8.15 pm, we’re open to floorspots before the guests come on for the first of their two sets. Singers, musicians, and poets are all welcome.

A hat collection in CASH goes to the guests in its entirety. The suggested minimum contribution is £6, but please give a little more if you can afford it.

The club premises and CAMRA award-winning bar will be open on the day from 5.30 pm. It’s CARD payments only: free entry to OLC members, £1 to non-members.
