In what promises to be another fascinating and fun evening, Nathan Persad, Angela McCarron and Allison Morey will be on stage together. Three accomplished singer-songwriters will take turns performing their songs, discussing their inspirations, & engaging in friendly banter.
NATHAN PERSAD is renowned for his huge repertoire and encyclopaedic knowledge of songs recorded by 1960s British Beat Groups. He is also a fine singer-songwriter in his own right following in the footsteps of his musical heroes.
ANGELA McCARRON entrances audiences. with her easy-going stage presence & happy/sad, wistful, ‘heart on her sleeve’ songs’ with subjects ranging from the everyday to the mythical.
ALLISON MOREY plays keyboards & guitar & has a fine singing voice, Her powerful self-penned songs draw inspiration from a wide range of sources & are imbued with a strong sense of spirituality.
From 7.30 pm until 8.15 pm, we’re open to floorspots before the guests come on to play the first of their two sets. Singers, musicians, and poets are all welcome. Self-penned material will be welcome but optional.
A cash hat collection goes to the guests in its entirety. The suggested minimum contribution is £6, but please give a little bit more if you can afford it.
The club premises and CAMRA award-winning bar will be open on the day from 5.30 pm. It’s CARD payments only: free entry to OLC members, £1 to non-members.
