Welcome back to OLC for ace mandolin player and funky fiddler JIIMMY VAN LIN with his new project, the JVL Band. This trio is led by JIMMY on Mandolin and vocals, backed by a rhythm section of FRANK PERCY on double bass and CRAIG BACKWAY on percussion.

The JVL Band does not have Guitars or Keyboards. Its main USP is to showcase the Mandolin and show its versatility by playing different genres of music, including Covers, Country, Irish, and folk, amongst others.

In support a 20-minute mid-evening set from popular local Jazz Singer Jacci Norris and guitarist Paul Adam. The duo play melodic tunes from yesteryear. With close vocal harmonies and Jacci’s arsenal of recorders with their own arrangements of popular covers including James Taylor, Lindisfarne, Chris Rea, and the Beatles.

We start the evening with floorspots for the 1st 45 minutes, with singers, musicians, poets & spoken word all welcome.

The CAMRA award-winning club bar (CARD Payments only) will be open from 5.30pm.

It’s free entry to Club/CAMRA members and £1 to others. There will be a hat collection for the guests in CASH. The suggested minimum contribution is £6 but please give more if you can afford it.
