A welcome return of the Richard Rozze Band for another cracking night of top class music at Orpington Liberal Club.
Richard (guitars and vocals) will showcase songs from his critically acclaimed album, Lion, with Steve Bridgland on bass and Wez Johnson on drums.
His electric guitar playing embraces blues, rock, and jazz, with intelligent, uplifting songwriting at its core. He has been compared to guitarists as wide-ranging as Peter Green, Eric Johnson, and Wes Montgomery, and his voice echoes Nick Drake and Jackson Browne.
Richard’s songwriting is ” full of the longing and pathos of the blues; songs that mirror the human condition with music that fuses rock aggression, jazz sensibilities, beautiful sounds and sheer musical invention.’
In addition to his electric guitar playing Richard is an accomplished acoustic player who can be heard with folk Trio Open Water.
