In what promises to be another fascinating and fun evening, Jo Honey, Andy Smythe, and Joanne Girdlestone will be on stage together. Three accomplished singer-songwriters will take turns performing their songs, discussing their inspirations, & engaging in friendly banter.

JO HONEY is a Greenwich-based singer-songwriter, & feminist. She’s a professional keyboard player & multi-instrumentalist. Her wide-ranging influences extend from Roy Orbison, the Carpenters, Barbra Streisand and Kate Bush right up to current chart stars.

ANDY SMYTHE is a singer-songwriter, guitarist, and keyboard player who regularly performs as a soloist and fronts his own band. He writes about his ‘inner world’ in a Lennon/Bowie style and sings in a powerful and distinctive Jeff Buckley-like voice that covers four octaves.

JO GIRDLESTONE ‘Greenwich Nightingale’ Jo writes original songs, connected to her sense of personal roots, nature, & spirituality. with willow strain guitar accompaniments, trained voice & warm stage presence. When not writing & singing her own songs, she’s a working mum, a playwright & a music & drama tutor at Blackheath Conservatoire.

From 7.30 pm until 8.15 pm, we’re open to floorspots before the guests come on to play the first of their two sets. Singers, musicians, and poets are all welcome. Self-penned material will be welcome but optional.

A cash hat collection goes to the guests in its entirety. The suggested minimum contribution is £6, but please give a little more if you can afford it.

The club premises and CAMRA award-winning bar will be open on the day from 5.30 pm. It’s CARD payments only: free entry to OLC members, £1 to non-members.
