Huskies Night is a broad church set up by funding father Dave Silk. Singers, musicians, poets, and spoken word acts are encouraged to get up for a floor spot, either performing solo or benefiting from a first-class backing band made up of accomplished jazz musicians.Regulars include singers JACCI NORRIS and MIEKO KANAI, Guitarist SIMON GOODWIN, Pianist RICHARD SIMMONS, Bass player JOHN PEAD, and percussionist BRYAN BRITTON.Another highlight is a raffle for a can of spam and other super prizes to die for, with a hat collection in CASH for the musicians, with a suggested minimum of £5.The club premises and CAMRA award-winning bar will be open from 17.30 hrs.
