DESCRIPTION:The latest of a series of OLC events in which three carefully s
 elected singer-songwriters are 'on stage' together taking turns to perform
  their original songs\, discussing their inspirations\, &amp\; engaging in
  friendly banter.\n\nThis time around we've chosen three artists who draw 
 inspiration from the county of Kent it's history\, its traditions &amp\; c
 ontemporary way of life.\n\nBOB KENWARD is a highly entertaining singer-so
 ngwriter of near legendary status. Bob works tirelessly to support &amp\; 
 promote folk music in Kent &amp\; has written songs about the County which
  have an anthematic quality. Compositions about historical characters &amp
 \; events at times reveal a penchant for meticulous scholary reseach &amp\
 ; at others a vivid imagination &amp\; a zany sense of humour.\n\nRACHEL L
 OWIE is not just here to add youthfulness &amp\; feminine good looks to th
 e proceedings' Medway based guitarist &amp\; singer is a cornerstone of em
 ergent multi instrumental\, multi voiced all female Kent Folk trio\, the s
 uperb Ashen Keys. As if that wasn't enough she is also a singer-songwriter
  in her own right taking inspiration from local stories and life experienc
 es.\n\nPAUL STEPTO a Tonbridge Folk Club Resident\, is a singer-songwriter
 \, guitarist &amp\; mandolin player who is a master of contemporary social
  and cultural satire. Paul frequently takes his inspiration from newsworth
 y local events &amp\; happenings. His songs are both thought provoking &am
 p\; at the same time humorous. Paul gigs &amp\; records both as a solo art
 ists &amp\; also as part of a long running duo with friend Pete Metcalfe.\
 n\nFrom 7.30 pm until 8.10 pm\, we're open to floorspots before the guests
  come on to play the first of their two sets. Singers\, musicians\, and po
 ets are all welcome. Self-penned material will be welcome but optional.\n\
 nA cash hat collection goes to the guests in its entirety.\n\nThe suggeste
 d minimum contribution is £7 but please give a little bit more if you can
  afford it.\n\nThe premises and OLC's CAMRA award-winning bar (CARD paymen
 ts only) will be open from 5.30pm.\n\nClub/CAMRA members enjoy free entry 
 to the premises\; others pay a £1 charge at the bar.
