DESCRIPTION:Veteran New York folk singer STEVE SUFFET has been active on th
 e Big Apple music scene since the 1960s\, rubbing shoulders with many of t
 he greats. He is a self-proclaimed 'Old Fashioned Singer' with a keen sens
 e of humour &amp\; fascination for NY City Districts\, which he regularly 
 walks. Expect many famous old-time songs done his way mixed in with more c
 ontemporary numbers &amp\; some of his own compositions.\n\nFor Steve's 20
 24 visit to OLC\, he will be sharing the bill with friend \, legendary fol
 ksinger\, songwriter &amp\; musician JACK WARSHAW. A fellow New York folki
 e Jack has lived in the UK for many years\, working as an architect &amp\;
  teaming up with folk luminaries including Ewan McColl\, Peggy Seeger\, Ro
 b Sherman &amp\; Tom Paley. Jack is best known for his 1976 protest song "
 If They Come in the Morning\," aka "No Time for Love." made famous by Chri
 sty Moore.\n\nSteve and Marilyn Suffet's UK trips are inspired by their lo
 ve of folk music from the British Isles and always include visits to Cecil
  Sharp House. With this in mind\, the lineup is completed with a short set
  by fine\, unaccompanied traditional folk singer Gwyneth Try\, whose reper
 toire reflects her Welsh roots.\n\nWe start the evening with floorspots fo
 r the 1st 45 minutes\, with singers\, musicians\, poets &amp\; spoken word
  all welcome.\n\nIt's free entry to OLC club members &amp\; £1 to others 
 (payable at the bar).\n\nThere will be a hat collection for the guests in 
 CASH. The suggested minimum contribution is £7\, but please give more if 
 you can afford it.\n\nThe CAMRA award-winning club bar (CARD Payments only
 ) will be open from 5.30pm.
