DESCRIPTION:\n\nIt's shanty singing time in Orpington-at-Sea (SE London/NW 
 Kent) with the return of the OLC's favourite shipmates\, the Hog Eye Men\n
 \nThe Hog Eye Men are (almost certainly) London's premier shanty crew\, ha
 ving a residency at the Cutty Sark in Greenwich\, and will entertain us wi
 th their huge repertoire of shanties and sea songs.\n\nThey sing them as t
 hey used to be sung\, simply\, boldly and loudly - participation is hearti
 ly encouraged.\nWe begin the evening with an hour of Floorspots/Open Mic f
 rom 19.30-20.30 before taking a short break\, followed by the Hog Eye Men 
 taking the stage with the first of their two sets starting at 20.45. The e
 vening must finish by 22.45 at the very latest.\nSingers\, musicians\, poe
 ts &amp\; spoken word are all welcome to the pre-shanty floorspots. It's a
 coustic-based with a small PA available for anyone wishing to mic up or pl
 ugin to play. Songs &amp\; tales of the sea will be welcome but not compul
 sory\, and a variety of genres are acceptable.\nPayment will be by hat col
 lection in cash\, which goes to the guests. The suggested minimum contribu
 tion is £7 per head.  With the money being split a number of ways\, it w
 ill be much appreciated if you can afford a little extra.\n\nIt's free ent
 ry for OLC members &amp\; £1 for non-members.The club's CAMRA award-winni
 ng bar will be open (card payments only)\, with real ales &amp\; craft cid
 ers a house speciality.\n\n\n&nbsp\;
