 nagement spanning over 40 years\, starting out in 67 as an Entertainment A
 ssistant working for Arthur Askey\, moving on to become an International J
 azz Festival director &amp\; Theatre Events Manager at South London's Broa
 dway Theatre in the process winning Encore UK Theatre Manager of the Year 
 in 2000 &amp\; a lifetime achievement award in 2012.\n\nOver the years\, h
 e has rubbed shoulders with Royalty and worked on over 30 professional-nam
 e pantomimes encountering countless household names from the world of musi
 c\, comedy\, and entertainment\, including such greats as Sir Norman Wisdo
 m\, Tommy Cooper\, Morecambe &amp\; Wise\, Mike Yarwood\, Max Bygraves\, G
 ladys Knight &amp\; the Pips\, Roy Orbison\, Tony Bennett\, Eddie Izzard\,
  and Roberts Flack\, to name but a few.\n\nHis career as a hilarious after
 -dinner speaker and awards ceremony host began by accident when a guest fa
 iled to turn up at a club dinner\, and invitations have flowed in ever sin
 ce.\n\nOLC is delighted that Chris has agreed to speak at our club\, where
  he is a member. The proceeds will go to Breast Cancer Awareness.\n\nThe p
 remises and CAMRA Award Winning Bar (CARD PAYMENT ONLY) will be open from 
 6.15 p.m. on the day.\n\nIt's free entry to Club Members &amp\; £1 to oth
 ers payable at the bar.\n\nThere will be a CASH hat collection for Chris's
  nominated Charity. The suggested minimum is £6 but please consider givin
 g more if you can afford it.
